Cloudy until early afternoon with a little light as the sun came up under the cloud cover.
It was kind of cool so after taking care of the animals, I started replacing the fire brick in the wood furnace.
Spread a couple buckets of ashes on the old tomato patch that is about to get tilled up and sewn in wheat.
I put some trash in the furnace to make sure it was drawing good. Took an old pentium 3 laptop and installed Puppy Linux Precise 5.7 and will use that as my man cave computer. It won't be much of a man cave once I get to burning wood as I will have 3 wheel barrows of wood in there so no room for man stuff. I thought that it would be neat to have a computer so that I can check the weather at 2am when I fire the furnace.
The sun eventually came out so after meeting the bus and taking my stink bug count (lower numbers today) I mowed a wheelbarrow load of yard grass for the steers. They were finally happy for a few minutes.
I got a call today to start work on 10/1 so that will give me time to get some stuff done here.
