Black Dog Salvage Photos

It is still raining here and I had to come into town to get a bolt so I stopped off at wifi and will put up an art photo exhibit from my trip to Black Dog Salvage yesterday. It was a good day to take black and white photos so I set the old Sony Mavica on B&W and walked through the store and then outside. I could have spent several hours on the project but just wanted to have fun and shoot what was about a roll of film in the old 35mm days.
A saddled lion ready to go.
Pine cone on a pedestal.
A thoughtless woman with a fragile personality.
Piggy
Girl reaching.
Mojo Man
Curley
Rusty stuff.
China man loose head, bad day.
Ironically the china man was laying in front of this sign, so much for success.
Pot watchers.
A fleet of tubs ready to launch into the Roanoke River.
Buddha was even there!
This is the old block that the chip came off of.
Not sure what these angels were doing but they seemed awkward to me.
I will conclude with this one that I call pot holders. This is really a neat place to take art photos and I didn't get back into the rusty area where I usually buy stuff.

  1. Look at all those tubs! My parents have one of those woman head planters things - theirs is BRIGHT blue.

    1. We have an old one in our yard that we made into a flower bed. Debbie says that we need a second one so we can set out in the front yard like the people in the cialis commercials. I think she may have been joking.

  2. LOVE the photos with captions! I might have to take the time on my next trip through Roanoke to stop in at Black Dog and take the tour myself.

    1. We only got about 3 but it really stuck to things like the electric fence wire. I am happy to see the grass again this afternoon.
