Saturday 12/29

We were going to go to Lexington on the day after Christmas to visit grandma but the weather was too nasty so we ended up going on Thursday. Still lots of ice on the mountains along the way. We had a nice visit and got home early enough to take care of the animals before dark. Lots of leftovers for supper.
Friday was nice weather and I was back on putting horse manure on the garden. Aggy found a choice morsel that I threw out. She is not hard to please.
Rain and sleet early before sunup and then later nice big snow flakes today but it didn't amount to anything on the ground, just made the mud a little more sloppy.
Eventually the sun came out and I took some photos of the calves to send to my buddy who does cow paintings. Here is one of Moodini.
Houdini is looking fairly clean these days once I pulled off a lot of the burrs that he collected.
Getting kind of windy and cold tonight after a real mix of weather today. It is almost time to start counting down the days until spring!

    1. He is a smart boy, comes when he is called, doesn't make a lot of moo noise but has a low soft mooooooooo when he sees us.

  2. I think Houdini is a beautiful beastie, what a fine painting he would make! Our spring will not show its face until April, I will have to enjoy spring online, lol

    1. I painted a small one of him awhile back but I may have to do a full view from the side. I am ready for spring in February this year, yes it will happen, I will keep saying that.

    1. They are supposed to be for food but I don't know if that will happen. Maybe I can train them to pull logs like on the TV show Ax Men.
