We have a cold rain today, not much going on here. It let up awhile ago so I took Aggy for a walk only to get rained on before we could get back. She didn't seem to mind. Dusty doesn't mind either as I put him at his stable this morning and he has spent the entire time standing out in the rain eating even though I put a huge pile of hay inside. The chickens are having a sad day of it as well, most are fluffed up under things but some are venturing out to peck in the mud. I have been watching Bear Grylls eat strange things on TV, I wish that I had his energy, if he would come help me cut wood, he could have all the grubs and beetles that fall out, sounds like a fair trade. It is the perfect day to cook a pot of chili for supper, I think that I have everything that I need so I will get started in awhile.
Maybe you could make a Grub and Beetle stew for Mr. Grylls? Or would your chickens fight him for it? :O)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen him cook them, he likes them raw, I may ruin them if I started cooking. One time he caught a skunk and cooked it and admitted how horrible it was. I guess he has made a lot of money though.
ReplyDeleteI am all disgusted this afternoon as I had old slick shoes on and fell down a bank and broke 5 of 8 eggs in the basket but got more from the next flock, I threw the shoes away.
